Does your content marketing strategy have long tail keywords?
Long tail keywords are catchwords or key phrases usually longer – three to four words that are commonly used in search engines, like Google, Yahoo, or Bing. Long tail keywords get less search traffic, but have a higher conversion value, as they are more specific. Unlike ‘vanity’ words that describe are too big a ‘topic’ (too highly ranked) for your brand to make revenue.
In short, long-tail keywords gives your company a higher return on investment (ROI). Yes, long-tail keywords are the ‘major keys’ to attracting the right user to your brand, product, or service.
It takes time and effort to sit down, hone in, research, and customize your list. Depending on the size of your business or brand you could possibly have over 100 keywords that perfectly appeal to your ideal client. A keyword list is the star ingredient to your content strategy and the centre-piece for content creation.
This strategy might not provide you with a trailer-load of traffic, but they are more effective than generic words for your industry – the more specific you are, the better – AND the more likely someone will hire you or purchase your product. Cha-Ching!
I’m sure content marketing planning will not become your favourite hobby any time soon, especially after a hard day’s work, but you want your customers to find you, right? Hire you, tell their friends, their sister and their mama too? Of course you do, make this task a must-do for your business. It takes patience and analysis to find out what works, it’s an ongoing process, a significant component to your marketing plan.
I invite you to make some tea, grab a pen, open your notebook, think about your target market, your ideal client, and think about their day, put yourself in their shoes, what are they doing 3 hours before they search for a company like yours. This methodology is called the user experience.
Once you describe their actions, imagine what words or what conversations they are having in their mind. Write these words or thoughts down, I just gave away my secret. Why? Why not? 🙂
Let me know how this works for you – give it time, it won’t happen overnight, stick with the right keywords and they will remain loyal.
I like loyal!
IF and only IF you are too busy to complete this assignment, I will provide you with an affordable option to complete this exercise for you 🙂
